Project states
What Proposal, Ready to Schedule, Scheduled, In Progress, On Hold and Ready to Close mean.
Every project has a state that tells the office and crew where it stands.
- Proposal — you're quoting. Build and send a proposal; dates are optional.
- Ready to Schedule — the work is agreed but not on the calendar yet.
- Scheduled — it has dates and hours.
- In Progress — the crew is working it.
- On Hold — paused (waiting on parts, permits, the client…).
- Ready to Close — the crew finished the scope and submitted it. Review it and close it.
- Completed — done and closed.
- Denied — the client declined the proposal.
Good to know
- Crew can't close a job themselves — they submit it as Ready to Close and the office approves.
- The dashboard flags In Progress jobs with no crew so nothing slips.
- Archive hides a job from the active list (Archived tab) and pauses its repeat schedule. Delete removes it permanently.
