Service types and checklist templates

Service types label your jobs; each one can carry a checklist of standard tasks.

A service type is the kind of work a job is — "Panel Upgrade", "EV Charger Install", "Troubleshooting". Every project gets one.

A checklist template is the list of standard tasks for a service type. When you open a job's Work Scope, the template's tasks are offered one at a time, or all at once with Add entire checklist. The crew then checks them off in the app.

Where to manage them

  • Service Types button (Projects page) — add, rename or delete types. The number next to each type is how many jobs use it.
  • Checklists button (Projects page) — edit the tasks for each type. The number next to each type there is how many tasks its checklist has.

Good to know

  • Load defaults fills a template with our starter tasks for your trade — edit freely afterwards.
  • Changing a template does not change jobs that already have their scope — it only affects what's offered next time.
  • Deleting a service type doesn't delete jobs; they just lose the label.
