Materials catalog
The list of materials your crew can log on jobs — with units, prices and barcodes.
The Materials page is your company's catalog: every material a crew member can record as used on a job — wire, conduit, breakers, fittings.
Adding materials
Use the add row at the top: Material name, Category, Unit, Price (per unit, optional) and Barcode (optional), then Add. Edit any field right in the list; changes save as you go.
Units and categories
- Units — how the item is counted: Count (each), Length (ft or in), Area (sq ft), or your own (the Units button).
- Categories — group the catalog (the Categories button). New accounts start with categories for your trade.
In Field (Active / Hidden)
Only Active materials show up for the crew. Set an item to Hidden to keep it on record but stop crews from picking it — handy for discontinued stock.
How crews use it
On a job in the mobile app, crew tap to add a material, pick it from the catalog (or scan its barcode) and enter the amount in its unit. Crews can't type new materials — if something's missing, they ask the office to add it here. Everything logged shows on the job's Materials Used card.
Good to know
- Deleting a material removes it from the catalog only — materials already logged on jobs are kept.
- Catalog value at the top is the sum of your per-unit prices, not stock on hand.
