Equipment inventory
Track tools, vehicles and gear — status, value, maintenance — and link them to jobs.
The Equipment page is your inventory of tools, vehicles and gear — bucket trucks, lifts, generators, testers.
Adding equipment
Add Equipment and fill in the name/model, brand, category, ID or serial number, status, who it's assigned to (optional), value and the last maintenance date. You can also Import a spreadsheet (CSV) — it takes the same columns Export produces.
Status
- Available — ready to use.
- In-Use — out on a job or with a crew.
- In Repair — in the shop.
- Retired — kept on record but out of service.
Change the status from the item's ⋯ menu → Set status, or in Edit. The page totals Total Equipment Value and Total Units, and you can filter by category and status or search by name, serial or brand.
Equipment on jobs
On a job's page (or in the mobile app), the Equipment card lets office and crew pick items from this inventory to record what's on site. The inventory then shows which job each item is on (you can search by project name too). Linking an item to a job doesn't change its status — set In-Use / Available here when it goes out or comes back.
Categories
Use Manage categories to add, rename or remove categories. The number next to each one is how many items use it.
